SHS Photographers Bring Home Prizes from Photography Contest

Each year since 1991, the Huntington Camera Club hosts it's High School Competition. High School students across Long Island compete in several categories for recognition and awards. This year's categories were: Open, Water, Minimalism, and Black & White. Syosset had 8 winners in the over 800 student submissions! In the Open category, Akshaye Bhansali earned an Honorable Mention. In the Water category, Ethan Yau earned 2nd Place. In the Minimalism category, Dani Kaplan earned 2nd Place. In the Black & White category, Adri Peres Da Silva won 1st Place, Gabby Schwarz earned 2nd Place, and Zhi Yi Gao, Grace Lu, and Kate Esposito all earned Honorable Mentions. Congratulations to these students on their fantastic photos!
